Keep It Cool!

It's been one of those days when nothing quite works out the way you had planned! What do you do to clear your mind when you are feeling out of sorts? For me, all it takes is a walk around the block in the fresh air (I have memories of my grandma trying to force me outside "to enjoy the fresh air" turns out she was on to something!) You will feel cool, calm & collected in no time!

Cool + Contemporary. Geometric accessories are a must have this season!  I prefer to pick one shape and loosely carry it through (not in an overly matchy matchy kind of way)! 

I feel like this adds a nice synergy to the space.

Concrete Crush

Love these geometric planters from the very aptly named etsy store Concrete Geometric. Their divine vessels are the perfect way to add a bit of industrial glam to your home! You can choose from plain concrete designs or the glitzy gold one. Can't wait to decorate my mantle with a collection of them! 

Soft Industrial

Soft industrial and pastels. My two favourite interiors trends for this season! I love how introducing subtle hints of colour instantly creates a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Its the best of both worlds, you can have your concrete and steel without feeling like you are living in a mechanics workshop!

Simple Leather Wall Hooks DIY

There is something so satisfying about combining the natural textures of wood and leather! 

The simplicity of the raw tones and the way they compliment each other perfectly just as they are. I have been meaning to make my own leather wall hooks for a while and finally sat down to tackle the project on Sunday using some bits and bobs a had stashed away for a rainy day.

Where they will eventually live and what they will be used for is yet to be decided but I'm very happy with them!
