The walls of our hotel were painted in a soft lilac shade (very on trend when you think that the pantone colour of the year for 2014 is radiant orchid). During our stay at the hotel I grew quite fond of the little flowers on the carpet and even the candy coloured walls! There was something nostalgic and even a little charming about the slightly out of kilter combination.
